Jordan firmly believes that the best innovators are exceptional listeners. And that's precisely what she loves to do. Jordan listens intently to those who are closest to the challenges and opportunities they're tackling. She makes it a point to include them in every step of the solution co-design process. It's about ensuring that everyone's voice is not only heard but also valued. She is particularly passionate about uplifting the voices of those who have been marginalized, making sure they have a rightful seat at the table. Together, remarkable things can be achieved.
Over two decades ago, Jordan embarked on her career as a special education teacher, an experience that instilled in them a profound sense of compassion and a resolute determination to make a difference. Following that, she had the privilege of participating in a non-profit management fellowship program with the esteemed El Pomar Foundation, igniting their passion for community-driven initiatives.
Life took Jordan on an adventure across continents when she co-founded a community development organization in South Africa, working closely with local organizations. Upon returning to the US, she served as the Development Director at Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, further fueling her passion for community empowerment.
But it was her twelve-year journey with Compassion International that truly shaped Jordan's understanding of the power of innovation. As the Senior Director of Innovation, she had the privilege of leading groundbreaking initiatives. Jordan led the launch of a revolutionary platform that facilitated the connection between the needs of participants and the resources provided by supporters, fundamentally changing the way positive change is driven. She also helped launch an incredible asset-based community development program, spreading its impact across 25 countries. Those years were transformative, and they solidified Jordan's commitment to using innovation as a force for good.
Jordan received her bachelor of arts in sociology from Southern Methodist University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. A former foster parent, she and her daughter became a family in 2018. They love to go on adventures in their home state of Colorado and around the globe together. In her downtime, Jordan enjoys listening to audiobooks at 3x speed, fly fishing, and being an advocate for community issues.
